The Engineering Continuing and Distance Education Office provides lifelong learning opportunities
in engineering-related topics for practicing engineers and the public. Program formats include
undergraduate and graduate credit courses; credit and non-credit certificates; and hundreds of
non-credit seminars, workshops, conferences and short courses. Faculty deliver these programs at
campuses, work sites, and other venues throughout Pennsylvania and the nation, either in person or
through technologies that include videotape, satellite, interactive television, CD-ROM, and the
Internet. Each year, Penn State's engineering continuing education programs reach more than 10,000
people.
