The associate dean for undergraduate studies and international programs is responsible for recruiting
and retention, undergraduate scholarships, curriculum development and approvals, instructional services,
enhancement of teaching and learning, assessment processes, and a variety of student services. The key
components of the undergraduate support structure include International Programs, Student Services
(Engineering Advising Center, Cooperative Education and Internship Program, Multicultural Engineering
Program, and Women in Engineering Program), First-Year Seminar Program, Engineering Instructional Services,
Leonhard Center for Enhancement of Engineering Education, and College-operated student project and
instructional technology centers (The Learning Factory and the Center for Engineering Design and
Entrepreneurship).
