The Leonhard Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Education aims to improve engineering education,
emphasizing design as an integrating force in engineering curricula, and encouraging classroom innovation. The
Center's Advisory Board developed the concept of the world-class engineer, which guides the College's
undergraduate curricula. The Center was established with an endowment gift from William E. (EE '36) and Wyllis
Leonhard.
