Entrance to Major

It is important for you to understand the Entrance-to-Major (ETM) process to help you avoid missing the opportunity to qualify for your intended major. ETM does not happen automatically. You must actively request your intended major once you have completed the required number of cumulative credits at Penn State and have scheduled or completed required ETM courses. The number of credits and the required courses vary depending on when you enrolled at Penn State.

Enrollment in Summer 2020 or Later

Enrollment Prior to Summer 2020

If at any time you have questions about how your schedule or performance will impact your eligibility to qualify for a College of Engineering major, be sure to contact an appropriate academic adviser.
