ROTC Credits

Students who complete the ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) courses required to remain in their ROTC program will be able to substitute three ROTC credits for the GHA requirement and three ROTC credits for a course designated by their major department. Therefore, students who complete the required number of credits of ROTC course work specific to their military branch (Air Force, Army, Navy/Marines) will be able to use a total of six of those credits toward meeting their degree requirements, regardless of whether they are commissioned.

Students who leave the ROTC program before all the courses are completed or before their graduating semester may not use any ROTC course work to substitute for a degree requirement.

For more information about Penn State ROTC programs, go to Office of Undergraduate Education.
