Degree Requirements

Information about the requirements for any degree offered by the College of Engineering at University Park may be obtained from the Engineering Advising Center, the department in which the degree is housed, or the College of Engineering Contact Referral Representative at commonwealth campuses. Information about engineering baccalaureate and associate degrees offered at all other Penn State locations may be obtained from that location or from the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs (SEDTAPP).

Information about the degree requirements for all College of Engineering baccalaureate degrees is published annually in the College of Engineering Undergraduate Programs Guide that is distributed to all students when they enter the College of Engineering as first-semester students. A list of core math, science, and engineering courses common to more than one major is available in the Core Undergraduate Curriculum.

Information about baccalaureate degree requirements for majors and minors available in the College of Engineering may also be obtained directly from Engineering Majors and Engineering Minors.

Students who wish to change to the College of Engineering from another University Park College or DUS must meet with an advisor in the Engineering Advising Center. Students at locations other than University Park who wish to change to the College of Engineering must meet with the College of Engineering Contact and Referral Representative at their location.

Students who wish information about academic programs offered by other Colleges of the University should contact the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) Coordinator at their location. At University Park, students should call (814-863-1033) for an appointment with or come to the Engineering Advising Center (208 Hammond Building) for a meeting with Ms. Gail Kamon, the DUS Programs Coordinator in the College of Engineering.
