Alumni Awards

College Awards

  • Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award: The Penn State Outstanding Engineering Alumni (OEA) Awards recognize graduates who have reached exceptional levels of professional achievement. Established in 1966, the award is the highest honor bestowed by the College of Engineering.
  • PSEAS Faculty/Staff Awards: The Penn State Engineering Alumni Society Faculty/Staff Awards Program honors outstanding teaching, research, and advising among the faculty of the College of Engineering. Award recipients are nominated by their respective departments and are selected by a panel of peers and representatives of the PSEAS Board of Directors. Those who are selected stand as exemplars of faculty and staff excellence.

University Awards

  • Distinguished Alumni Award: The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that Penn State bestows upon an outstanding alumna or alumnus. The award salutes the achievements of outstanding alumni whose "personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater."
  • Alumni Fellow Award: The Alumni Fellow Award is the most prestigious award given by the Penn State Alumni Association. Since 1973, the Alumni Fellow Award has been given to select alumni who, as leaders in their professional fields, are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the President of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty, and administrators.
  • Alumni Achievement Award: The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes alumni 35 years of age and younger for their extraordinary professional accomplishments. These prominent young alumni are nominated by an academic college and invited by the President of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty, and administrators. They demonstrate to students that Penn State alumni succeed in exceptional fashion at an early age.
  • Honorary Alumni Award: The Honorary Alumni Award was created to recognize outstanding individuals who, though not graduates of Penn State, greatly enhance the University through their commitment and service.
