PSEAS APG Grants Program
The Penn State Engineering Alumni Society Affiliate Program Group (APG) Grants program was established to further the alumni society’s vision to create programs and events for engineering alumni that will encourage awareness of and support for the completion of the college’s goals and objectives. A goal of the grants program is to encourage alumni groups to initiate programs and activities that promote interaction among college alumni, students, faculty, and staff.
To apply for an APG Grant, please email the completed application form to Jennifer Theiss, College of Engineering alumni relations coordinator, at jtheiss@engr.psu.edu by Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Groups will be notified of the committee’s decision by September 20, 2013.
APG Start-Up Grant
- Description: Departments may apply for this one-time grant to assist in the development and start-up of a new APG. Funds may be used to offset costs associated with forming a new alumni group including meeting expenses, communications, and events.
- Purpose: To encourage and support engineering departments in the creation of new alumni groups.
- Amount: $1,000
- Restrictions: Groups may only receive this grant ONE time.
- Timing of Awards: Applications will be considered as they are received throughout the year.
- Review of Applications: The PSEAS APG Grants Committee will review applications as they are received throughout the year.
APG Program Grant
- Description: Groups may apply for this grant to assist in the creation of new programs or to enhance and improve upon existing programs.
- Purpose: To support engineering APGs in developing and sustaining successful alumni programs.
- Amount: Maximum of $500
- Restrictions: A group may apply for this grant once annually.
- Timing of Awards: The PSEAS APG Grants Committee will review applications and award grants twice annually, in January and September.
APG Fellowship Grant
- Description: Fellowship is an important aspect of being part of the Penn State Engineering Alumni community. This grant may be used to offset costs associated with APG-sponsored programs or events which are designed to encourage interaction and fellowship between alumni. Programs and events may be social or professional in nature.
- Purpose: To promote and encourage alumni interactions and fellowship.
- Amount: Maximum of $1,000
- Restrictions: A group may apply for this grant once annually.
- Timing of Awards: The PSEAS APG Grants Committee will review applications and award grants twice annually, in January and September.
