Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE)

Purpose:

The Philadelphia-Delaware Valley Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) is announcing that scholarships are available to students with demonstrated academic achievement and performance in the field of fire protection. The purpose of these scholarships is to promote the science and practice of Fire Protection Engineering and its allied fields. Students need not be enrolled in a fire protection engineering degree program, but may be in an allied engineering or science program and demonstrate an interest in fire protection. The scholarship will be awarded for demonstrated academic achievement and performance in the field of fire protection.

Eligibility:

American citizen
full time students with 2.5 cumGPA
Candidates must be full-time students in an applicable program of study who demonstrate a serious interest in a career in fire protection. Candidates shall be a native or a resident of the scholarship geographic area served by the Chapter. For a detailed explanation of applicable programs and residency requirements please see the Criteria and Information Sheet attached to the scholarship application.

Terms of Award:

Past awards have ranged from $1,000 to $7,000.
