Shirley Hendrick Award
The Shirley Hendrick Award recognizes an administrator whose visionary accomplishments have contributed significantly to foster outreach and increase Penn State's efforts to serve the adult learner. The award is open to academic administrators University-wide, including deans, associate deans, assistant deans, and chancellors, whose visionary accomplishments have contributed significantly to the success of the Penn State outreach mission.
Champions the strategic development and delivery of outreach programs
Encourages a culture of academic freedom, innovation, and collaboration
Provides visionary leadership and communicates the importance of Outreach, internally and externally
Terms of Award:
recognition and a stipend of $1,000.
Letters of Support
After your nomination has been electronically submitted, you will receive a confirming e-mail with instructions on how to have other colleagues submit letters of support. Each nomination requires two letters of support. It is the responsibility of the nominator to solicit the support letters. Any nomination lacking at least two letters of support will be considered ineligible.
