Special Living Options at University Park

The information on this page is only relevant for undergraduate students in the College of Engineering who wish to live on the University Park campus, in University housing, and are in one of the following categories:

  • Returning University Park students currently living on campus
  • Students approved for a change of location (assignment) to University Park from a commonwealth campus
  • Students transferring from another institution who have accepted an offer of admission to a College of Engineering major at University Park

If you are a prospective first-year student, go to Special Housing Options for information about special College of Engineering housing options at University Park. There is a separate request process for entering first-semester students.

Any College of Engineering student who is awarded a housing contract may request assignment to one of the Special Living Options (SLO) related to the College of Engineering. The request for placement in a SLO should be made on the housing contract acceptance form. After the acceptance of the housing contract, changes in placement requests must be made by e-mail to assignmentoffice@psu.edu. College of Engineering students are eligible to request other SLOs but only the ones that are related to the College of Engineering are described below. Please note that placement in a SLO is not guaranteed because the demand usually exceeds available space.
