- Offering unit for certificate works together with the office of undergraduate studies when creating
a certificate
- Office of undergraduate studies sends request for consultation to all department heads, and other
colleges (if appropriate)
- Proposal is submitted to the Undergraduate Studies Curricular Review Committee for review and
approval
- Proposal is presented to the Engineering Faculty Council for review and approval
- Office of undergraduate studies enters certificate on eISIS via ECERT (Certificate Management)

- Offering unit for the certificate enrolls the student into the certificate program through ARUSBD
and tracks student progress
- Offering unit notifies the Office of Undergraduate Studies of the student's completion of the
certificate program
- Office of Undergraduate Studies approves student's completion of the certificate program in
ARUSBD
- The office of undergraduate studies creates a Certificate of Achievement that is signed by a
representative in the offering unit and the associate dean for undergraduate studies
