FAQ

1.  Why join Phi Sigma Rho?

Phi Sigma Rho has provided a balance between school and social life for thousands of young women since 1984.  The sisters of Phi Sigma Rho have grown into professional women ready to face the world because of this balance.  Women of diverse backgrounds and interests have chosen to become sisters of Phi Sigma Rho for numerous reasons:

·         Our sisters meet other women in the traditionally male dominated fields, but they also form a bond of friendship and encouragement.

·         Becoming a sister enables these women to stay active on campus, find study assistance, experience leadership and participate in community service, social activities, and even career development.

·         Being a sister of Phi Sigma Rho connects you to a tremendous network of women engineers throughout the country and provides  you with contacts to recent Penn State graduates in industry.

Because the Phi Sigma Rho chapter at Penn State was established in March 2002, all sisters (including new ones) have the opportunity to have leadership positions that will help shape the direction of Phi Sigma Rho.
