Spend a Summer Day – July/August 2010
Spend a Summer Day, the popular Penn State summer visit program conducted by the Undergraduate Admissions
Office in late July and early August, gives prospective students and their family members the opportunity to tour
facilities and meet with faculty, admissions staff, and Penn State students at any Penn State location.
The College of Engineering offers information sessions and tours of departments in conjunction with the Spend
a Summer Day programs held at University Park. Parallel events are offered on separate days for the scheduling
convenience of prospective students and their families. Dates and registration information for the 2010 Spend
a Summer Day Program will be posted on the Undergraduate Admissions Office website in late May/early June. Go to
http://admissions.psu.edu for more information.
Scholars Day – September 27, 2010
Designed for high school seniors, Scholars Day is an opportunity to take a close look at the Schreyer Honors
College (SHC) and a specific college at Penn State that matches your academic and career aspirations. You'll get an
overview of the SHC, meet our staff and students, tour the central part of campus, and visit another
college during your day at University Park. For more information, go to shc.psu.edu or contact the SHC at scholars@psu.edu or 814-863-2635.
Scheduling a visit at University Park
Visits to the College of Engineering at University Park are welcome throughout the year and are easily
arranged, usually in conjunction with an information session offered by the Undergraduate
Admissions Office.
- Step 1: Schedule an information session with the
Undergraduate Admissions Office using their
on-line reservation system (please note that it's best to schedule this session in the
afternoon).
- Step 2: Use our
on-line visitation request form to arrange your visit to the College of Engineering. You may
wish to participate in a general College of Engineering information session and/or meet with
faculty and students from one or more departments.
- Step 3: Once you submit the on-line visitation request
form, a College of Engineering staff member will develop an itinerary for your visit and e-mail
a copy to you at the address you indicated on the form.
Scheduling a visit at other Penn State locations
Visits to campuses other than University Park can be scheduled using the Undergraduate
Admissions Office's
on-line reservation system.
