*Career Fair - This committee will organize and run the engineering career fair that is held in February.  This career fair was started six years ago and has mainly been run by SWE.  There are many tasks involved in arranging a project this large so we need LOTS AND LOTS of help!  The career fair is a great opportunity to make corporate contacts and develop networking skills.

Community Service - This committee is great for anyone that likes to help out those in need and get involved with the community.  This committee has aided the Food Bank project, volunteered at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center, Blood Drives, and Penn State Recycles.  This committee is always looking for ways to help our community out!  If you have an idea for a community service project, please let us know!!

*Girl Scouts - This committee planned the very first “Spend an Engineering Day” with local elementary schools. This committee will continue in the planning of the event that takes place in the spring semester. The event has since evolved into a chance for local Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts to obtain their math and science badges.  It is a great committee if you enjoy being around children, have been a past scout, or want to be a positive role model.

*Rube Goldberg - The Rube Goldberg Contest is held every February at Penn State, hosted by the Alumni. This committee will help organize group members, hold design and construction meetings, and have the chance to represent SWE nationally at the Purdue University National Rube Goldberg Machine Contest in March.

The committees with the * are devoted to organizing an one-time event, so they will be very active around the time of the event. The committees with the F means they only are in the fall, while a S means they are only in the spring.
