Special Course Information

AE 202 is a controlled course. Only ENGAE or AE students may enroll in this course. All second year ENGAE students must register for this course during the fall semester. AE students entering the major in the third shall also register AE202 in the fall semester of the third year. This course is designed as the first AE course for incoming AE students.

AE 221/AE 222 must be taken concurrently. These are both controlled courses. Only ENGAE or AE students may enroll in this course.

AE 308 must be taken by all third years and is only offered in the Fall semester. Prerequisites of  EMCH 11, EMCH 13 is strictly enforced.

AE 309, AE 310, AE 311, and AE372   should be taken in the spring semester of your third year. This courses are offered as a con-current/coordinated sequence. Not taking these courses in the third year, a student risks schedule conflicts in the later years.

AE 404 - AE 404 will be offered in the Spring Semester only. Structural students must complete AE 401 and AE 402, not AE 404. For students not in the structures option, AE 401 and AE 402 may be taken in place of AE 404.

ARCH 130A - a total of 6 credits is required. Schedule 3 credits in each semester in the second year.

ARCH100 and Art H202 – These courses are GA courses and required for AE students. They can be taken during the first or third years in the time slots identified for AHS courses.

EDSGN 130 - for students who have taken EDSGN 100 or other engineering graphics courses, substitution is possible. Consult your advisor.
