Brian Binkley, PE, NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II, is a Senior Associate for Gausman and Moore Engineering, Inc. He joined the Saint Paul, MN based MEP firm in 2002 upon graduation. Brian spent time during his college career exploring the Construction Management and Mechanical options before “seeing the light” and choosing to enter the Electrical discipline.
Brian oversees a major big-box retail client for Gausman & Moore, having worked on over 200+ projects in 47 states and 3 Canadian provinces. His resume also includes multiple large retail development centers around the United States. A registered professional engineer in Minnesota and Pennsylvania, he was awarded with Gausman & Moore’s 2005 Most Valuable Player. Brian’s professional memberships include American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN), North Central Electrical Engineering Society (NCEES) and the local IES chapter. He resides on the Scholarship Committee for ACEC/MN.
Brian is proud that his 2 year old son, Nathan, knows how a Nittany Lion “roars,” can recognize the Penn State logo, and will answer “blue” when you ask him his favorite color. He and his wife Marilyn are now working on brainwashing their 6 month old son, Grant. Active with the Penn State Minnesota Alumni Chapter since 2002, he has served as Webmaster, Secretary, Treasurer and currently, President. Brian is also a Lifetime Member of the Penn State Alumni Association, LionsROAR Alumni Admissions Volunteer, a member of Back the Lions and a member of the Golden Lion Society. In October 2012, he was honored with the Joan M. McLane Recent Alumna/Alumnus Award, given to a graduate of Penn State within the last 10 years and has an exemplary record of volunteer service to the Penn State Alumni Association.
