Description

Introduction to architectural engineering; lectures and discussions with specific reference to the relation of architectural engineering to the building industry.

Course Objectives
  1. To introduce the challenges of university study
  2. To introduce the available resources for students
  3. To introduce the AE Department, its facilities and programs
  4. To introduce the four options in the AE program (Construction, Lighting/Electrical, Mechanical, Structural)
  5. To introduce the various engineered systems that make up a building
  6. To introduce the role of Architectural Engineering in the building industry
