Design of unreinforced and reinforced bearing and non-bearing walls; shear wall analysis and design; system design; brick veneers; and construction aspects.

AE 402

Course Objectives

To prepare students who elect this course to design masonry structures. Students will understand masonry wall systems and their application to meeting functional and structural requirements for appropriate building types.
