Fundamentals, design, and analysis of solar energy systems in building applications

Prerequisite(s)

Seventh-semester standing in Engineering

Course Objectives

Provide both the fundamentals and practical applications of solar energy to enable the enrolled hard working students understand, evaluate, and design solar thermal processes and systems.

Topics
  1. Solar radiation, collectors, and thermal storage
  2. Design and analysis of a heating system using system-simulation computer program.
