Description

Theory of automatic control.  HVAC control applications. Control system components.  Development and documentation of control logic.  3 credits.

Prerequisite(s)

AE 454 or consent of instructor

Course Objectives

To begin to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, design, document, and diagnose problems in HVAC control systems by developing familiarity with basic control concepts and terminology, understanding of the capabilities and limitations of control system components and how to apply them in systems, and developing the ability to translate a control system concept into a logical sequence of operation that can be documented and implemented.
