Description

The class will explore the process by which an Owner or Developer initiates a project and defines its objectives, constraints, participants, and delivery methods. The course focuses on the services that building industry professionals can provide in support of these activities.

Prerequisite(s)

Graduate or senior level standing.

Course Objectives

Students will develop the perspective, knowledge, and skills to influence critical decisions on projects and to provide better value to the project as industry professionals. As the course title implies, special focus will be on delivery planning strategies that impact project development.

The course is primarily case based and students will be given handouts or assigned outside reading/research as part of class preparation. A series of case types are used in the course.
