M.S. Curriculum

The curriculum for a Master of Science student will be determined by the student and his/her adviser. The program of courses is generally tailored to meet the student’s academic objectives and previous experience/coursework. The Master of Science approval form must be completed and submitted to the Graduate Program Officer during the first semester of study.

The M.S. degree requires 24 credits of courses, with at least 12 credits at the 500-level. The remainder may be at the 400-level. The M.S. thesis (AE 600 or 610) must consist of 6 or more credits (however, no more than 6 of these credits may receive a letter grade). A written thesis proposal and presentation must be presented to the student’s thesis committee.

A grade point average of 3.0 is required for the student to graduate.
