Second Year Students and new to AE students
- Take Arch130A both fall and spring semester. If you have a conflict, please see Sharron Williams (225 Engineering A) to work out a solution. We can work around some of the time conflicts. It will be inconvenient for you to schedule around the studio periods in later years.
- A special section of Arch130A is offered at 8:00 to 10:00 to students with conflicts later in the morning. You need not register for special for it. Just keep 8:00 to 9:05 open.
- AE 221 and AE 222 are co-requisites. Take them in the same semester.
Third Year Students
- Take AE308, 309, 310, 311 and 372 in your third year. You will be selecting an option in the spring. These courses are designed to give you an understanding of each option.
- AE308, AE309 and AE372 are only offered once a year. Make sure you schedule them in the right semester. (AE308 and AE309 in the fall. AE372 in the spring.)
- Prerequisites; Please make sure you have the right prerequisites.
- EMch13 for AE308
- ME23 for AE310
- Several of the 300 level courses must be completed with a C or better - AE308, AE310, AE311, AE372.
- If you are thinking about going to the Leeds study abroad program,
- do not take Arch211 in the spring. You will get this course in Leeds. Please sign up for one of the courses below in its place.
- If you are thinking about the Lighting/Electrical option, sign up for AE444 in the 6th semester.
- Stat401 is suggested for students in other options.
- The first meeting for the Leeds Study Abroad program is Tuesday night, 15 November 2005, 7 pm, 107 Engineering A.
- do not take Arch211 in the spring. You will get this course in Leeds. Please sign up for one of the courses below in its place.
Fourth year Students
- You are encouraged to take Arch443 – Chicago this fall.
- CM’s should take Mgmt 326 (not Mgmt 321). The course numbering was changed by the Management Department. If you need to schedule section 07 or 08, contact Moses Ling.
- Arch 441 studios are scheduled for either MWF or TR afternoon. We are expecting all students to be in class during the assigned hours. Therefore, special efforts have been made to minimize conflicts with other courses.
- Structural student should schedule Arch441 TR afternoons. Structural students taking AE401 concurrently with Arch441 will have a conflict the first hour. Sign up for Arch 441 and ask Sharron to override the conflict and sign you up for AE401.
- L/E students should enroll in the MWF section. (AE464 is scheduled for Tuesday afternoons)
- Mechanical and Construction option students may sign up for the MWF section. If that is filled, you may sign up for the TR section by following the same procedures outlined for structural students.
Fifth Year Students
- Check to see that you will have all the requirements lined up for graduation. Check your degree audit and project your spring schedule. Do it now while you have two semesters to take care of any deficiencies.
- If you have any petitions, you must file them one semester prior to your graduation. The Dean will NOT consider petitions file in your last semester! Don’t wait. Check your degree audit. If things are not as you expect them, you probably need to file a petition.
MAE/BAE Students
- If you are expecting to graduate this semester, you must activate you “intent to graduate” status on e-Lion.
- Your undergraduate degree audit will be missing some credits. See Sharron if you need to check that they are indeed recorded (on the graduate records)
- You must follow your program of study filed when you applied for the program. Alterations to course selections and proposed schedule must be approved in advance.
- If you are getting Minor, go to the department offering the minor and fill out the necessary paper work. Don’t wait till the last minute
