| The 2000 PACE Roundtable was held on November
7-8, 2000 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on Penn State’s University
Park campus. There was a great turnout with over 50 industry professionals
attending from all over the country and representing several facets of
the building industry (engineers, fabricators and contractors). Several
topics were discussed including: standardizing and educating the AEC industry
on project delivery methods; educating owners on effective project startup;
integrating suppliers and planning for production; developing new hires
to work effectively; retaining existing employees; and creating a business-to-business
e-commerce plan for construction.
The next PACE Research Seminar will be held at the Toftrees Resort and Conference Center on April 10-11, 2001. For additional information regarding the 2001 PACE activities please
