After getting input from AE interns and recent graduates,
Pittsburgh-based LLI Technologies has developed a unique summer internship
program specifically for Penn State AEs. LLI teamed up with McKamish mechanical
contractors and Fuellgraf Electric Company to create integrated design-constructioninternships
in mechanical/construction and electrical/construction.
The internships will be available for 3rd and 4th year AE students, who will spend 6 weeks in design and 6 weeks in construction with the LLI partner firms. “The interns will be challenged with real-world design and construction problems that can be solved using the technical skills they are developing at Penn State,” says Jamie White, P.E. and Principal at LLI. “If possible, the students will get to work on the same project from both the professional design side as well as the contractor.” |
