Scott Butler, P.E., ’85 was recently elected president of CUH2A, the worlds largest professional services and design firm dedicated to facilities solutions for science and technology. CUH2A is owned by 27 principals who review and fine-tune its leadership through an election process held every three years. CUH2A’s leaders are committed to ensuring that the firm continues to adapt in order to maintain its premier position within this highly competitive industry.

During his term as president, Butler will focus on creating a culture of leadership, excellence and discipline for sustainable success and profitability. “By emphasizing our firm’s leadership in integrating high-profile architectural design, top-notch engineering and industry-leading planning, we can assure our success into the future,” continued Butler. In addition, he is committed to growth as a mechanism to better serve CUH2A’s clients and to create challenging opportunities for CUH2A’s employees.
Butler has over 20 years of experience in project management, strategic facilities planning, and engineering design. He specializes in developing strategic planning solutions that incorporate a company’s specific business goals, working with a wide variety of corporations and institutions to develop global strategies for facility growth and management. Butler has established long-term relationships with a variety of industry leaders through his management, planning and design efforts for clients, including Pfizer, Inc., the National Institutes of Health, Genentech, Inc., and Boston University. Butler is currently leading CUH2A’s design team on the Boston University Medical Center’s National Biocontainment Laboratory in Boston.
