AE Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2000
SSAE SPRING OPTION SOCIAL The Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) and the AE Department co-sponsored the annual Options Social on March 27, 2000 at the Nittany Lion Inn. Thirteen professionals and seven professors represented the four options (structural, mechanical, lighting, and construction management) currently available in the AE curriculum. The event included a dinner for the professionals, a panel discussion, and a reception. Everyone who attended found the evening to be very informative and educational. If you are interested in participating in next year's Options Social, and/or would like more information, please contact Nancy Smith in the AE office at (814) 865-6395. SSAE HONORARY MEMBER The Student Society of Architectural Engineers named AE Staff Assistant Sharron Williams an honorary member of the SSAE at the recent Senior Awards Banquet. Shannon Appleby, SSAE President, and former President, Katie Heisey, thanked Sharron for her many years of service in the AE Department and for all of the special efforts she makes on behalf of the AE students. She was presented with an engraved plaque and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
