AE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE AT DANCE MARATHON
AE students Shannon Appleby, Melissa Herder, Laura Permuko, Sue Apostolopoulos, Rachel Ehalt, Heather Cassidy and Jen Gordon (L-R) participated at the Penn State Dance Marathon held on campus February 18-20th. 

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, benefiting the Four Diamonds Fund, raised more than $3.6 million this year to help children with cancer and their families.

SSAE SPRING OPTION SOCIAL
The Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) and the AE Department co-sponsored the annual Options Social on March 26, 2001 at the Nittany Lion Inn. The event included a dinner, panel discussion, and a reception with AE students and industry professionals representing the four options (structural, mechanical, lighting, and construction management) currently available in the AE curriculum.

SSAE HONORARY MEMBER
The Student Society of Architectural Engineers named Associate Professor M. Kevin Parfitt an honorary member of the SSAE at the recent Senior Awards Banquet.  SSAE officers Christa Henry and Shannon Appleby thanked Parfitt for his work with the AE Career Fair and for all of the special efforts he makes on behalf of the AE students throughout the year.  He was presented with an engraved plaque.
