This year the AE Department, in cooperation with our industry
partners, has established a new Teaching Assistant Grant Program in the
Architectural Engineering Department. The program, which was initiated
by professor Kevin Parfitt in conjunction with several AE alumni,
incorporates industry contributions ranging from $500 to $1,000 matched with
funds from the AE Department. The grants are then used to provide
financial support for one or more AE undergraduate students who will be
employed part-time to assist our faculty in enhancing the quality of AE
courses. This is invaluable to the Department in helping to defray the costs
of this kind of support, and a great benefit to the student recipient as
well. The new program is definitely a win-win situation for everyone
involved, and we would like to gratefully acknowledge the following companies
who have helped to start this initiative and generously supported this
innovative new program in AE.
CUH2A, Inc., Princeton, NJ, Rob Consalvo, ’93 g.
Integrated Design Associates, Inc. (IDeAs), Santa Clara, CA,
