| The 11th Annual PACE Research Seminar, "Engaging
Owners in the Building Process," was held on April 23-24, 2003
at the Tysons Corner Marriott Hotel in Vienna, VA. Nearly 50
industry participants comprising owners, architects, engineers, and contractors
attended this year’s event, as well as AE 5th year students, graduate students
and faculty. The seminar featured Penn State research and industry presentations, and a luncheon presentation by Sanford Smith of the Toyota Motor Corporation, who discussed the corporate “Process Green” strategy being implemented at Toyota. Other topics included: * Mold and IAQ issues in
