The James M. Pohlen Memorial Scholarship was created in the memory of Jim Pohlen (1965-1988), a member of the class of 1989, and is awarded annually to a fourth-year architectural engineering student. The award, which is in recognition of strong character and exemplary achievement in architectural engineering, honors Jim’s fine academic record, his participation in a wide variety of organizations and activities, and, most of all, his ability to interact positively with those around him.  Jim Pohlen was highly respected by all who knew him and was admired for his ability to balance his academics with other activities.
