Faculty Honors
The AE Department is pleased to announce the following promotions:
- Mr. Moses Ling, Dr. Linda Hanagan and Dr. Ali Memari were promoted to associate professor.
- Both Dr. Hanagan and Dr. Memari also received tenure.
- Dr. Thomas Boothby was promoted to professor.
THE WHEELER TREE Shortly after Professor C. Herbert Wheeler retired in 1980, a group of former students planted a Dawn Redwood tree in his honor. Today, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Louis Geschwindner, a plaque commemorating Prof. Wheeler has been permanently installed next to the tree, which appropriately stands next to the University's new Alumni Center. The plaque, which reads: In honor of will remain as a constant reminder of what the AE Department stands for: excellence in teaching and an appreciation of learning. Thank you Professor Wheeler! Congratulations! |
