The proposed topics of the Macallen Building thesis depth study are adding another residential floor without increasing the building height by placing one of the parking levels below grade and rebuilding the structure in the seismically-active zone of San Diego, CA.

Breadth Studies (pdf)

Topics of the breadth study are a building envelope analysis and an evaluation of the construction management-related issues associated with the proposed structural alterations. The evaluation will include scheduling and cost/revenue changes to determine the feasibility of the proposal from the owner's prospective.
