STUDENT BIOGRAPHY

Bryan Hart was born and raised in the town of Catonsville, Maryland. Largely based upon his fascination with building construction and design, Bryan decided to pursue a degree in architectural engineering at Penn State at the end of his senior year in high school. Since then, he has continued to pursue that goal and is scheduled to graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree in May of 2008.

During the last four years, Bryan has also worked extensively in his pursuit of a commission into the United States Marine Corps. Enrolled as a Marine Option Midshipmen in the local Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), he has found the challenge of excelling in both his academics and his military obligations demanding yet rewarding.

During the summer of 2005, Bryan had the opportunity to work as a construction materials testing technician for Engineering Consulting Services, Ltd. in their Baltimore, MD office. His employment as a concrete and soils inspector was cut short for a 3 week training cycle at the Marine Corps' Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, CA.

The following summer, in 2006, Bryan graduated from the Marine Corps' Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA. This six week course of rigorous physical and mental examinations was the last major hurdle in Bryan's pursuit of becoming a commissioned officer.

In addition to academics and the military, Bryan is passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ. It was this passion that led Bryan to Zambia for the month of June in 2007, where he co-led a team of 30 teenagers in a 3-week outreach to orphans ravaged from the HIV/AIDS crisis. Bryan hopes to return to Africa next summer to continue working with orphans.
