User Note:
While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Jason Greer. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.

AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

Both courses related to senior thesis were challenging and rewarding. AE 481W was necessary to give students the necessary understanding of their building. Without the assignments from AE 481W, AE 482 could not have been completed. Even though this year was difficult and packed with work, completing thesis was more rewarding than any other event in my college career. I feel that this process has taught me many things and has prepared me more for real life engineering.

  CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The CPEP website made things run much more smoothly. If there was a question late at night, many times that could be answered using the website. The website was more useful in the fall semester simply because there are more deadlines. The discussion board was a great tool. It was nice to have access to everyone's questions because often times I had the same ones. The electronic tools used for senior thesis make the process run much more smoothly.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering. For an explanation of this capstone design course and its requirements click here.
