User Note:

While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Jeremy R. Powis. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.

ABET Outcome Survey

AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The year-long AE Senior Thesis provided many obstacles and further understanding of the engineering process.  It enabled us to look at an existing design and analyze it to get a better understanding of it.  That existing design was then used as the basis for our thesis, which included multiple redesigns.  Our thesis process posed the critical task of time management, which is an essential skill.  Overall, the thesis process was an enjoyable process, and one I won’t soon forget.  It was vital to prepare us for the real world of engineering.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The discussion board is a very useful tool.  It gave us the ability to interact with professionals and receive multiple opinions on a subject matter.  The board also allowed us to go back through the archives and find answers to previous questions, which is also helpful.  The CPEP allowed for good organization and easy access of our multiple assignments.
