Technical Assignments

 

Technical Assignment #1

Technical Assignment #1 is an overview of the structural systems used within the building, as well as analysis of lateral wind and seismic forces effecting the building, plus some of the gravity loads, such as overall building weight and snow loading. The purpose of this report is to obtain a general familiarity with the building, its components, and the most influential forces acting upon it.

 

Technical Assignment #2

Technical Assignment #2 is an evaluation of the floor system currently in use within the building compared against other possible propsed design options. The purpose of this report is to analyze the existing floor system in place at the St. Elizabeth Hospital Inpatient Facility and compare it against a few possible alternative systems, determining if another system may be a more reasonable solution, and if so, by what means.

 

Technical Assignment #3

Technical assignment #3 is a thorough analysis of the lateral resisting system in use within the hospital. The purpose of this report is complete an analysis of the building's lateral resisting system using computer modeling software to analyze the loading path as well as the lateral displacement for the building in order to compare it to serviceability functions.
