Jeremiah Ergas
Resume

Since he was young, Jeremiah Ergas has always excelled in Math and Science classes. This is what led him to want to become an engineer, so he headed to Penn State, the alma mater of his dad and brother. In his first year he decided he wanted to study architectural engineering because of the uniqueness of the projects and his love for buildings.

During the summers Jeremiah has been able to utilize and expand upon his knowledge from the classroom through work experience. He worked for the structural consulting firm, McLaren Engineering, where he was able to help with a variety of design projects. He also performed several site visits of buildings that needed to have some structural repairs. He has also worked directly on the construction sites of several commercial buildings when he was employed by the General Contractor, Delran Builders.

Jeremiah is currently in his 5th year at Penn State in the Structural Option. He plans to graduate Spring 2008 with his MAE/BAE degrees. Through Penn State, Jeremiah has had the opportunity to do many exciting things. He took advantage of the exchange program with The University of Leeds and got to live and travel in Europe for a couple of months. He also participates in several extracurricular activities including the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE), Habitat for Humanity, Spanish Club, and Intramural Soccer. In his free time he also enjoys playing guitar, golf, tennis, skiing, and running. In the future he hopes to work on a structural design team for an architectural engineering firm, while pursuing his professional license.
