Senior Thesis Research - Critical Industry Issue

For my research I looked at the implementation of utilizing 3D design coordination with MEP clash detection.

For this I used several resources:

My first resource was surveying the MEP subcontractors and desginers on my project.

Second and Third resources were understanding the 3D design programs/software. For this I looked at the AutoCAD website and the Revit website. These two sites gave me a good understanding of what the programs have to offer.

Fourth resource was my project Mangagers take on the program. He had stated that other groups in the company were utilizing such a system on a current project, but felt that the subcontractors and engineers on this project lacked the resources and funds to take on such a system.

The fifth resource was the a article on 3D/4D Modeling that Professor Messner gave me. I was about Building Information Modeling, which gave me some good insight to the capabilites of the program.
