 AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

AE 481W is the fall semester part of senior thesis. This class focused on getting students a broader knowledge of their buildings and letting them learn some problems that the building had. Three technical analysis were performed involving getting a lot of background information on the building and for Construction Management students, estimating and scheduling. CM students attended that PACE roundtable which allowed students to interact with industry members and allow them to get some ideas for their research topics. At the end of the fall semester a proposal is made on what research and analysis that the student wants to do for the spring. AE 482 is the spring semester course for thesis and involves more research and getting the information that you proposed done. The class does not meet regularly so it allows students to work at their own pace but also does not allow a lot of people to fall behind. This final semester requires all of the knowledge that is gained by students throughout our five years here to complete.

CPEP and Discussion Board Reflection

The CPEP site was very interesting and was a great way to show my work to my family and friends. The discussion board was very helpful when people had questions in the design options.
