User Note:
Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Nicholas Kutchi. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.

Books

ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004. Atlanta, GA: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc., 2004

-This source provides the energy standards for lighitng spaces within a building.

The IESNA Lighting Handbook, 9th ed., Illuminating Engineering Society of North America,
New York, NY, 2000

-This source is the lighting handbook that provides recommended light levels and design criteria for lighting spaces.

M. Long, Architectural Acoustics, San Diego, CA: Elsevier, Inc., 2006

-This source was used to obtain the acoustical equations and absorption coefficients used for the acoustical breadth of the project.

National Electric Code 2005, Quincy, MA: National Fire Protection Association, Inc., 2004

-The electrical portion of this porject was required to meet the code requirements of this source.

GE Lamp Product Catalog 2004

-This source is a lamp Manufacturer catalog that was used to obtain all the information required for specifying all the lamps in the project.

Programs

AGI 32 v1.9 and AGI 32 v2.0

-This program is the lighting software program that was used for all the lighitng renderings and calculations throughout the building.

AutoCAD 2007/2008

-This program was used to create all the drawings and 3d models for the project. The 3d models were then imported into AGI 32.

Microsoft Excel 2003/2007

Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2007

Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3

PowerSmiths Energy Savings Payback Calculator (ESP)
http://www.powersmiths.com

-This is an excel file that is used to calculate the energy savings payback for energy efficient transformers versus non-energy efficient transformers.
