Ryan P. Flynn
Penn State Architectural Engineering, Structural Option

Ryan discovered his interest in architecture early on in high school and chose to attend Penn State because of their reputable Architectural Engineering program.  He worked for a contractor during high school and knew entering college that he wanted to work in the construction industry.  This experience also sparked an interest in residential construction.

Ryan originally planned to go into the Construction Management option, but after an internship at Mulhern and Kulp, a structural engineering firm in Ambler, PA, he realized that structural design was a better fit.  At Mulhern and Kulp, he gained experience in both residential and commercial design and realized that he wanted to pursue a career at a company that would offer a variety of design possibilities.

Upon graduation, Ryan is going to return to the Philadelphia area where he grew up.  Ryan has accepted a job offer at Mulhern and Kulp, the company where he interned. There he will be working on the residentilal team, designing the structure for single family homes and townhomes.
