Charles Miller

As a student of The Pennsylvania State University Charles is focusing his major of Architectural Engineering in the management of construction projects.  Charles decided to obtain a more expansive learning experience by becoming a student in the integrated BAE/MAE program.  In attending graduate classes as part of the integrated program Charles has broadened his education into areas of construction such as productivity analysis, virtual prototyping, construction law and sustainable materials.
During the summer of 2008 Charles had the privilege of interning at James G. Davis Construction on the West End 25 project.  During his time with Davis, Charles took on daily Assistant Project Managerial responsibilities.  Also at Davis, Charles was able to fulfill his desire to be a life-long-learner by partaking in many educational opportunities, such as OSHA 30 Hours, Buyout and Managing, and LEED Exam Preparation. During the summer of 2007 Charles had the unique experience of interning at Capital Construction Consultants, Inc.  At CCCI, Charles had the pleasure of working on multiple projects.  Charles maintained and updated schedules for six different projects, as well as preparing necessary schedule reports and summaries.  Also, for the latter portion of the summer Charles assisted in fact finding for litigations.
In the spring of 2007 Charles passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and will attain the status of Engineer in Training upon graduation.  Furthermore, Charles wishes to become a LEED AP after graduation.
