4 3/16/20098 1. Building Integrated Solar Energy Systems Analysis Complete
2. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Analysis Complete
3. Critical Industry Issue Incentives, Rebates Information analyzed
4. Critical Industry Issue Survey Out
5. Critical Industry Issue Benefit Report
6. Coordination of Slab Penetrations 4D model under construction
7. Coordination of Slab Penetrations Support Locations Identified
8. Coordination of Slab Penetrations Risers combined and Sized
9. Coordination of Slab Penetrations Cost/Schedule Information received and analyzed

3/16/09--

Topic 1 (95%)- Awaiting findings from Critical Industry issue to finalize. Also need to complete distribution system for BIPV panels and create cost schedule

Topic 2 (95%)- Finalizing results and contacts with local programs. Still looking for local case study. Reviewing additional materials provided by industry contact.

Topic 3 (85%)- Research is nearly complete and is in the review process. Most of the local and state incentives are not as expected and reward the project with larger areas rather than revenues. Federal programs are still being assessed.

Topic 4 (NA)- There is no survey to be conducted

Topic 5 (10%)- Awaiting results from the research into local, state, and federal rebates, incentives, and tax credits. This should finish quickly following the results of the research.

Topic 6 (25%)- Building model has been created, but analysis is moving slow.

Topic 7 (25%)- Communication break downs and issues with industry contact have caused delays in this analysis. See recovery plan for more details.

Topic 8 (10%)- See Topic 7

Topic 9 (50%)- Information has been obtained and is under review

Recovery- Work on the final analysis is top priority for the upcoming week. Contact has been made with industry representatives to assist in the analysis and a meeting will be scheduled with my advisor to access the analyses nearly complete and in progress to verify contents. For those analyses nearly complete, they will begin to find their way into the final report towards the end of the week.

3 2/23/2009 1.Building Integrated Solar Energy Systems Completion of AC distribution system, Analysis nearly complete, awaiting energy savings/payback calculations
2.Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Complete questionnaire for interview of industry, questionnaire out for completion
3.Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Demand shift scenarios selected
4.Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Analysis of using current equipment complete
5.Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Analysis nearly complete, awaiting results of survey/interview
6.Coordination of Slab Penetrations Contact with mechanical/plumbing engineer and structural engineer
7.Coordination of Slab Penetrations Contact with general contractor to obtain cost/schedule information

Update to2/23/09 milestones (3/16/09)

Topic 1 (90%)- AC system analysis is required, all other parts to analysis complete

Topic 2 (0%)- NA

Topic 3 (90%)- Local provider identified and basic analysis of program complete, scenarios selected in terms of using generator and available power production, beginning to analyze systems that can be curtailed rather than run with generator. Contacting local provider week of 3/16/09.

Topic 4 (100%)- Complete

Topic 5 (90%)- See Topic 3 above

Topic 6 (95%)- Initial contact has left company, new contact established, information has been obtained to a basic level requiring review. Contact with structural engineer week of 3/16/09.

Topic 7 (100%)- Information under review

2/23/09--

Topic 1 (90%)- AC system analysis is beginning today, all other parts to analysis complete

Topic 2 (0%)- Topic 2 may no longer be necessary, if time permits survey will be conducted

Topic 3 (80%)- Local provider identified and basic analysis of program complete, scenarios selected in terms of using generator and available power production, beginning to analyze systems that can be curtailed rather than run with generator

Topic 4 (100%)- Complete

Topic 5 (80%)- See Topic 3 above

Topic 6 (95%)- Initial contact has left company, new contact to be established, information has been obtained to a basic level

Topic 7 (10%)- Contact initiated, process of obtaining information beginning

Recovery- No recovery needed, project proceeding within 2 days of scheduled activity

Milestone Date Analysis Items In Progress/Completed
2 2/9/2009 1. Building Integrated Solar Energy Systems Creation of scenarios for BIPV
2. Building Integrated Solar Energy Systems Completed information about energy use
3. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Completed research of demand response programs
4. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Finalize generator use study

Update to2/9/09 milestones (2/23/09)

Topic 1 (100%) Complete

Topic 2 (100%) Complete

Topic 3 (95%) Contacting local Demand Response program for final information on cost and availability

Topic 4 (95%) Generator study is complete, developing cost benefit analysis

2/9/09--

Topic 1 (50%) Initial scenarios have been created and a shadow study started. Results and further investigation is necessary.

Topic 2 (90%) No response from owner, contact again on 2/11/09. Information from design has been obtained and is being evaluated. Contact with the local utility will follow discussion with owner representatives to allow information release.

Topic 3 (65%) Research has begun but with little results. Local companies specializing in demand shift/shave/response have been identified and contacted. Awaiting information about programs. Contact with 2 industry representatives has been established and information has been acquired.

Topic 4 (10%) Generator information has been reviewed and study to begin this week with completion by 2/13/09. All information has been collected and investigation is the next step

Proposed Recovery Finish the required milestone 1 activities if necessary and provide extra time this week to complete requirements. Contact with owner will now be pushed more than a weekly attempt for information and if no contact is established, the information from the contractor will be accepted. Meetings with individuals familiar with energy projects will also be arranged to avoid research "in the dark" and to acquire a direction.

Milestone Date Analysis Items In Progress/Completed
1 1/26/2009 1. Building Integrated Solar Energy Systems Complete Research for BIPV Systems
2. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Contact/Inquire about energy use from engineer/owner/local utility
3. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Research case studies/current projects using demand response
4. Peak Demand Shift & Demand Response Collect emergency generator information

Update to 1/26/09 milestones (2/9/09)

Topic 1 (95%) Research is nearly complete and results in use of a generic system with an estimated performance. Continued research will be required throughout this study and results in the 95% complete.

Topic 2 (90%) No response from owner, contact again on 2/11/09. Information from design has been obtained and is being evaluated. Contact with the local utility will follow discussion with owner representatives to allow information release.

Topic 3 (60%) Research continued with local programs found. Information has been requested with no response. Further program research is needed.

Topic 4 (100%) Information has been collected and reviewed

1/26/09--

Topic 1 (80%) Research is nearly complete and a final decision on the system is required. Only requires review of information.

Topic 2 (25%) Initiated contact between owner and contractor. No response from owner, contractor feels it best to contact specialty contractor, local utility, and owner. Emails will be sent by 1/27/09 to owner requesting local utility supplier and to specialty contractors.

Topic 3 (10%) Research initiated. No feasible results. Continue research and finish by 1/29/09.

Topic 4 (98%) Information has been supplied and requires review. Review process to be conducted on 1/26/09

Proposed Recovery Continue work on current topics prior to beginning new topics. Extra time will be required outside that scheduled for the following days.
