Kelly Chan is currently in his 5th year of study in Architectural Engineering Program at the Pennsylvania State University. In August 2009, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, specializing in lighting/electrical systems. Kelly is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the American Society of Heating, Refigerating and Air-condtioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

During the past two years, Kelly has gained invaluable experiences in his summer internships. In the first internship, he worked as a design assistant with In-X, an interior design firm in Hong Kong, where he learned drafting skills and modelling in interior design. In the past summer, he participated in internship with Shanghai Zhuzong Group, a nationally recognised AE firm in China, a construction firm concentrating in design of architecture buildings and structures for clients. This internship provided him with working experiences, professional knowledge and insight into design and construction of various buildings. In the short term, Kelly looks forward to working as a lighting/electrical engineer for a consulting firm or AE firm.
