Thesis Abstract

The Mid-Atlantic Data Center(MADC) is located at 44521 Hastings Dr., Ashburn, Virginia. The site is approximately 30 miles west of Washington, D.C. and just north of the Washington Dulles International Airport.  This area has been hailed as the “Washington Dulles Technology Corridor” and according to TIME Magazine; it carries “more than half of all traffic on the internet.  The region is home to more telecom and satellite companies than any other place on earth.”  As such, the project is situated in the most ideal location possible.

More detailed project information can be found in the Building Statistics and Technical Assignments pages. However, for a brief synopsis of MADC, please click on the abstract to the right.
