TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENTS

Technical Report 1

Tech Report 1 analyzes the existing structural system. Calculations of gravity loads as well as lateral loads (wind and seismic) were performed. Spot checks of structural members were also performed to gain a better understanding of the existing structural system.

Technical Report 2

Tech Report 2 is an analysis of alternative floor systems. Three alternative floor systems were analyzed and compared to the existing concrete flat plate system. The alternative systems include a two-way slab with beams, non-composite floor, and a composite steel and concrete system.

Technical Report 3

Tech Report 3 is a detailed analysis of the structural lateral system in the Temecula Medical Center. The hospital uses concrete shear walls to resist the heavy seismic lateral loads. ETABS was the main tool used to analyze the lateral system.
