Reflection

AE 481/482 Course Reflection

The senior thesis project was a fundamental learning experience in my preparation for a career in sturcutral engineering. Extensive research and design experiments helped better understand the different structural systems in a building. All the engineering skills learned while at the engineering department of Penn State were put into practise. The senior thesis project has provided a solid foundation that will help me face all challenges awaiting me in the future as a strucutral engineer.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The CPEP site proved to be a very efficient way to organize and display our senior thesis work in a professional manner. It also allowed us to effectively share our work and progress during the year with out friends, family and faculty. The discussion board was a very crucial tool in our learning experience as it provided the opportunity to interact with experienced engineers who provided valuable feedback. Using the dicussion borad made the reserach aspect of the thesis easier while also allowing us to work knowing we always have the option of asking a question when in doubt.
