About Benjamin Mahoney

 
 

Benjamin Joseph Mahoney is currently a fifth year Architectural Engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University. In December 2010, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, with a concentration in Construction Management. Upon graduation, Benjamin will be granted EIT status as a result of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam in the fall of 2008.

Over the past two summers, Benjamin has gained valuable experience throughout his two internships with James G. Davis Construction Corporation in Rockville, MD.  In 2008, he worked alongside Project Managers on a 295,000-SF LEED Gold office building in Washington D.C.  Most recently, in the summer of 2009, Benjamin assisted in the management of a 267,000-SF academic and residential facility at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.  This particular project is also the basis of study for Benjamin’s Senior Capstone Project.

Outside of the classroom, Benjamin is a member of both S:PACE (Student Chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence) and  SSAE (Student Society of Architectural Engineers).  Additionally, Mr. Mahoney is an active P.I.A.A. (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) football official.
